Two average Dublin salaries will secure a mortgage for this. So on the one hand, it appears to be in the ballpark of reasonable.

But I still can’t help asking, if Firhouse (Dublin 24 postcode) is for average earners (and 2 of them at that) then who on earth should be buying up the road in Knocklyon (D16) or Templeogue (D6/6W), Rathfarnham (D14), Terenure (D6/6W), Ballyboden, Ballyroan etc? 20 years ago a binman on 1 salary used to buy houses in Firhouse. And today there are at least 30% more houses than there were back then.

I don’t know how to square that circle. This is the major question I can never work our wrt da bubble.

Good point Larry, this is what I’m thinking too. What do you think is going on at the side of the house there btw? Looks like some kind of construction? Are they allowing someone to take their side garden? :unamused:
