Obviously a spectacular property, but I am somewhat nonplussed as to who exactly would be a prospective purchaser. I can’t really think of a profile of OO who’d go for it, other than perhaps a single billionaire-about-town. Not many of them around nowadays. And for a commercial buyer, presumably there isn’t PP for office usage nor would it make sense anyway given the massive number of office space for rent all around this area. There must be 20 To Let signs on Fitzwilliam Street alone. So it would really not surprise me if the price dropped another 50%. I know that sounds extreme, but I think it’s possible.
