Another Tony Dean (of A1 Waste, convicted criminal, former Fianna Fail donor) special.

Bought on 2003 and very expensively renovated (over 1 million)

independent.ie/unsorted/prop … 23225.html

That is 30/31 Orwell Park and 68 Owell Park as well as 107 Leinster Road so far of his property empire.

maybe anthony should organise a whip around

Cases like this remind me of how narrowly focused some of the buying in d6/4/2 was. It’s the same individuals or companies buying the property - I think it shws that some of the real craziness was not that widespread.

Capital D also bought up lots of properties such as:

• 19 Leahy’s Terrace, Sandymount, Dublin 4
• 52 Morehampton Road, Dublin 4
• The Northbrook Hotel, 22, Northbrook Road, Ranelagh, Dublin 6
• 57A/57B, Leeson Park, Dublin 6
• 69 Palmerston Road, Dublin 6
• 58 and 60 Garville Avenue Upper, Rathgar, Dublin 6
• 77 Dartmouth Terrace, Ranelagh, Dublin
• 77 Ranelagh Road, Dublin 6
• 20 Palmerston Park, Rathmines, Dublin 6

Some have been covered here such as the half-finished disaster of 19 Leahy’s Terrace - viewtopic.php?f=23&t=37016.

They lost their collective shirts on these.

If you look at the house beside 19 Palmerston Park, Rathmines, Dublin 6 in myhome.ie/residential/brochu … -6/1931687 you will see it is both derelict and boarded-up. It comes complete with a family of foxes living peacefully and in the open in the overgrown back garden.

It would be perfect for a Dublin 6 squat.

Derek Quinlan, for all his high-finance high jinks, also squirreled away lots of Dublin properties that he then left idle and undeveloped for some mysterious known-only-to-the-master-of-the-universe reason.

What is the long game for all these red brick places? Are they dripping them onto the market?

Very nice development - great spec. All bedrooms ensuite, main floors serviced by a lift, decent garden, impressive facade. If it weren’t for the awful staircases and the tiny kitchen, it would be perfect.

Worth quoting in full before it goes behind the paywall.

By rampant Tiger she means rampant corruption and criminality as the likes of Dean took any type of waste from any source and dumped it in any hole in the ground without any standards and pocketed the difference, buying himself immunity by making contributions to Fianna Fail and then squandering his illegal profits in an orgy of property buying.

it’d be a bit tight playing table tennis in that gamesroom!!!

I thought you might be exaggerating re the stairs but no.
