For a 2 million euro house, the rooms sure are small. :open_mouth:

Ah, this may explain it:

No 5 has also dropped price

Homeleigh is absolutely bonkers. Some of the houses make the Malahide McMansions seem modest.

My favourite is #6 which has a footprint of over 500sqm and “extends to” a quite astonishing 1024sqm (11,000sqft) over four floors including basement and attic.

Here’s the public planning document and one of the Street views.

The columns are the largest I’ve ever seen on any domestic dwelling and the non-matchingness of them isn’t an artifact of Google photo stitching but pure Celtic Tiger awesomeness. In real life it looks like a sort of orange Lincoln Memorial.

Want.

So the sale of this ordinary looking bungalow over the road offers, in my view, the potential purchaser a unique opportunity to create something even bolder and more assertive. I’ve checked on Google Maps and a full-size replica of the Taj Mahal mausoleum would just about fit, having a footprint of under an acre, but wouldn’t leave much space for off-street parking, fountains 'n shit. Perhaps a basement car park like number 6 would be an appropriate modern addition?

The saga continues. Reduced to 1.2m

I think these are sadly now superceded by those of Knock House in Waterford, posted by SoCoDu on the GBA thread.
