Daft: Sandymount 'most expensive' in Dublin

More details at blog.daft.ie/2010/09/top-ten-mos … in-dublin/

Thank you Ronan!!! We got there in the end… :stuck_out_tongue:

‘Dublin Mountains’ more expensive than Howth? Are we sure about these stats?

The fact that Killiney is not mentioned in the list makes me wonder if the figures are skewed by lower priced houses dragging down the average price. Killiney has some of the most impressive “trophy” homes in the country mainly on the coastline but also has several large estates with much more affordable housing (Watson’s etc). Likewise with Foxrock. Would have thought Clontarf would be in there somewhere too and wasn’t Malahide rated the area with the most high earners a while back?

Malahide is home to the biggest percentage of high-earning professionals in Ireland - they say that, these days, only those with executive incomes can afford to live here. Well-known residents include the pop star Ronan Keating and the actor Brendan Gleeson (Braveheart, Troy and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire).

My own thoughts on Sandymount …

Should be called Sandyhole then? :-GC
