Death knell sounding for India property boom?

Its funny how foreign property advertisements show up on Newstalk just as the market tops.

Lads, we need some greater fools… now where might we find some… let me see…

I would have thought this was the death knell…

To Hell with I’m renting the hotel ballroom and placing signs at every roundabout;

**IT’S THE REPUBLIC OF PALM ISLANDS PROPERTY EXPO 2007

CAPITAL APRECEATION OF 9% WITH 5% RENTAL GARANTEE **

Note the spelling mistakes so intruth I promise nothing would love to do that and see how many turn up with open cheque books.

wow, that would make an interesting expose TV show.

do a property expo for a non existent development by a unregistered company and see how many people are willing to put down a deposit on the day. Nice stands, glossy brochures the whole lot.

You could even try making up a country that doesn’t exist as well!

Great idea, but hasn’t it already been tried with Cape Verde?

ahh, I thought something sounded fishy about that.

The Irish Times makes me ill. They wheel out the ‘Canny Irish Investor’ line like a shill for a shell game trickster, every time news reaches these shores that a group of spivs have decided to milk naive property mad paddy for a few more yo-yo’s. Utterly shameless; and to think I used to buy that smug, pompus, self regarding rag. :imp:

Didn’t Monsieur Hobbs do exactly that as part of his SSIA show?

he could have, I didn’t watch it.
