Thanks Verbatim. With the vastly increased stock of rental properties when do posters predict that DAFT, etc will begin reporting on a general fall in rental yields?

There have been a couple of significant drops in rentals I’ve seen, which I think are a precursor to the more widespread drops that will hopefully (for me) manifest themselves over the course of the spring.

I know it will depend on the individual, but do pinsters think sellers who find no takers during Spring 08 will resign themselves to selling at a significantly lower price or will decide they’re going to be landlords for the medium to long-haul (at a poor yield or loss)?

A bit of both I suspect, so house prices will slide and rents will drop.
