an interest free online current account with no fraud protection and direct debit access to my real current account?
i dont see the difference betweeen this and paypal (other than lower fees) and i dont see the advantage over a debit card etc.

certainly great for retailers to reduce overheads so hopefully it catches on for them. i cant see them replacing cards tho.
the NFC idea for smartphones is great, but i have a feeling its more likely to be integrated into the new issue credit cards for the most part
