Apparently as companies were shutting down their services for Parler, they were making press releases. The company that handled 2FA and security, Twilio, shut down service yesterday, and this left a massive security gap.

2FA and security being shutdown by Twilio like that before the site went offline was a very deliberate malicious and calculating act. Someone very very senior at Twilio typed into a console window the commands to turn off all security knowing the site was still live and what the results would be. A site like that would be on a 10 second or less security interrogate “ping” by various actors. So the result of security being deliberately turned off meant that multiple actors would have comprised all site data in less than a minute. The only time limit to the exploit was download bandwidth. I’m sure Amazon removed all download limits before the security was turned off.

Well that just notched up the probability of real bloodshed by two or three degrees given thats how the Biden Tech Oligarchs are operating. Time to batten down the hatches I think.

And just a reminder for those in Ireland the new “hate speech” laws the government are going to pass are modeled almost completely on that that have been in force in Germany for the last few years. And based on just how assiduously the Interior Ministry have been prosecuting “hate speech” even in defacto private online conversations I expect a day sometime soon when you run the real risk of prosecution in Ireland for writing online anything that does not conform totally with the views expressed in the Irish Times or on RTE. For example under current German laws about 90% of the political content of this site would be classified as “hate speech”. That includes questioning any single part of the current Covidian Hysteria.

The Hate speech bill is incredibly concerning. It will mean an end to Free Speech in Ireland if it passes. But it appears to have cross party support - the Seanaid “debate” on it in the Autumn was pretty much supportive, bar some remarks about phrasing I think.

A lot of EU countries with strong civil liberties traditions will ignore it but as Ireland has never had free speech in any meaningful form, absolutely no tradition or culture, it will be rubber-stamped trough very quickly.

NYC to terminate Trump contracts after Capitol insurrection

NEW YORK (AP) — New York City will terminate business contracts with President Donald Trump after last week’s insurrection at the U.S. Capitol, Mayor Bill de Blasio announced Wednesday.

“I’m here to announce that the city of New York is severing all contracts with the Trump Organization,” de Blasio said in an interview on MSNBC.

De Blasio said the Trump Organization earns about $17 million a year in profits from its contracts to run two ice skating rinks and a carousel in Central Park as well as a golf course in the Bronx.

The city can legally terminate a contract if the leadership of a company is engaged in criminal activity, the Democratic mayor said. “Inciting an insurrection — let’s be very clear, let’s say the words again — inciting an insurrection against the United States government clearly constitutes criminal activity,” he said.
