Glasnevin house in London auction

I was looking at the brochure for an upcoming auction when I spotted this;
auction.co.uk/Both/LotDetail … 26/03/2008

This seems a bit odd to me, but I don’t know much about auctions so perhaps this is a regular occurrence. Seems a bad idea to sell in sterling right now anyway with the pound being so weak.

Found this house for sale on the same road;
myhome.ie/search/property.as … earchlist=

Need to redo the link, iguana…

Why? The link is still working for me, but if it doesn’t go to auction.co.uk and it’s lot 229 on the residential listing. Or page 10 of 17.

It seems to be being sold by a British charity, so I guess whoever is in charge of their legacies is just selling by the easiest means possible. But it will be interesting to see what it sells for, as the guide price is half that of it’s neighbours asking price. Although the one on myhome is nicer.

Yeah looks difficult to get a direct link. Here’s the email a friend link:
auction.co.uk/AllsopSpotligh … ID=541P229
or the addendum link:
auction.co.uk/Both/add.asp?ID=541000236

That link doesn’t seem to work for me. If auction websites are this painful I’m surprised anyone shows up at auctions.

Here’s the description;

This is the Savills HOK link.

savills.ie/dublinsecondhandh … nswiftRoad

Interesting that they have it listed with an amv of €350k while the UK guide price starts at €285k.
