Exactly 18 months behind the curve in the south. I knew it. I fecking told them. Score yet another win for Uncle Sidey’s Crazy Predictions.

A couple of months back a friend virtually stopped speaking to me after I tried to talk her out of a particularly insane property purchase to “get on the ladder”.

“Why do you want to stop me making money and doing well for myself?” :open_mouth: :open_mouth:

Most of my family are well aware by now not to mention the subject of property prices when I’m around.

I’ll try not to be smug next time I’m up there. Really, I will.

One of my best friends asked me for advice as to whether he should buy in the North while already highly leveraged into his own residence in Dublin,

When I replied “Do you not know that property has gone up by 50% there last year” (implying risky bubble), he replied:

“Thats exactly why I WOULD buy” :open_mouth: :open_mouth: :unamused:

With attitudes like this?
