Needless to say Deirdre Somers was most helpful in floating this cack off, unscrutinised , on her Irish Stock Exchange.

She has so far avoided the scrutiny that the likes of Neary and Hurley came under for their failings but it is time that the role of the Irish Stock Exchange was examined. I have contacted the propublica journalists on the matter.

They haven’t gone away, you know.

10 years after, and Magnetar (which played a malign role in the subprime mortgage crash) still favours Ireland as a venue for their dealings. Even giving an Irish twist to their vehicle’s name - Realta Investments (geddit? magnetar is a weird type of star)

Are we giving tax benefits to a firm whose aim is to harass with dubious patent suits the IT, pharma and medtech leaders whose investments here are the foundation of our economy?
