How many further interest rate increases will there be this year?

From what I’ve read I’d say .5% or even .75% is possible. If inflation breaches the 2%, I’d go with the latter.
The big question is probably how many (if any) next year !
From what I hear .25% in Sept is almost guaranteed
.25% in Dec is very likely
and .25% in Q1 08 is likely as well.
fyi, Bank of england voted 5-4 to hold rate this month, 4 wanted it raised by 25bips, next month rise very likely. they see upside risks throughout europe
