The exchequer deficit from Jan 1 to July 31st this year was € 8.9 bn, an increase of €600m for the same period last year.

Exchequer deficit down 6 bn when you don’t give 3 bn to Anglo and 3 bn to NPRF?

Hurrah we’ll all be saved when we don’t give BoI and AIB 7bn later in the year…
(Or indeed 12 bn to Anglo and INBS as a Christmas bonus…).

The statement should have read… “too late to buckle seat belts” … “prepare for impact”…

At least it might have been a bit more honest n accurate.
