Here is a grown up in a paper for grown ups saying sensible grown up things. We probably won’t find it reprinted in an Irish newspaper anytime soon because we’re all like bloody children when it comes to finance. Even David McWilliams does my head in with his “Decklanders” and “Breakfast Roll Man”.

Good post. You wouldn’t get good embedded Irish journalists penning articles that might go against advertisers’ interests. Then again, judging by what happened the Tribune journalist that lost his job. :confused:

Given the last housing bust is well remembered in the UK, you think they’d know the secret of avoiding this scenario is to talk the economy up :wink:
