Property register and mixed-use buildings


Do mixed-use sales on the residential register list the total sale price for the building or only the sale price for the residential component. The latter scenario makes sense, but I’m not sure if that is the case.

39 Camden St is listed as sold in 2013 for 320K. That building comprised of a restaurant, a large apartment overhead and a yard leased to Tesco. Seems an unrealistic price, but I can recall asking was about 360K at the time.

14 Capel St is currently for sale here at 1.3m, but is listed as sold for 310k in 2015.


I would assume the residential component only - stamp duty is levied at 6% for commercial buildings
