Pub sales come to a standstill: SBP

Just 4 pubs have been sold so far this year in Dublin compared to 19 last year and 37 in 1996. It is thought unlikely that sales will hit double figures this year. The credit crunch is being primarily blamed. Normally lenders would have required a circa 20-25% equity stake from a borrower for a pub however now they are requiring that the borrower put up 30%.
