SEB Opens Outlet in Dublin for Lithuanian Emigrants

 Nov. 29 (Bloomberg) -- SEB Vilniaus Bankas, the Lithuanian
unit of Swedish lender SEB AB, opened a branch in Dublin to serve
Lithuanian emigrants, Lietuvos Rytas reported, citing Lina
Rumskiene, head of the Irish outlet.
SEB Vilniaus Bankas, the Baltic nation’s biggest bank, cited
growing demand for mortgages from Lithuanians living and working
in Ireland who plan to buy a home in Lithuania, the newspaper
said.
About 126,000 people emigrated from Lithuania between 2001
and 2005, according to Lithuania’s statistics office.
