Survey - The Rise and Fall of the Irish Property Market

Hi Everyone,

I am a student of 4th year at DIT and as a part of my dissertation I need to distribute a survey. I am hoping to reach people outside of Dublin as well as people in the capital to have a representative sample of the entire Irish population. I was wondering if you can find a few moments to complete the online survey in the link below. It shouldn’t take longer than 8 minutes.

Thank you for your help.
Joanna

The Rise and Fall of The Irish Housing Market - The Public’s Perspective Survey is presented to you by final year Dublin Institute of Technology degree students, authors of an academic dissertation entitled: “The Rise and Fall of The Irish Housing Market”.

The purpose of the survey is to obtain the public’s perception of the state of the Housing Market in Ireland. We aim to establish the link between expert’s opinions and your own observations. Please remember, this survey is not a test. It is not about the correct answers, it is about your insights, beliefs and understandings. We are first and foremost interested in what you believe is true, so that it can help us confirm or negate the opinions obtained from the literature available on the subject of Irish Housing Market. To help us reach larger sample, please forward on to your family and friends. The survey is completely confidential. Simply click on the link below. The survey will take about 8 minutes to complete.

Thank you for supporting our academic efforts.

Hi Joanna

I would say your results will be a bit skewed if this site is a large proporion of your sample

Eh hello? :unamused:

I’d love to know where she found an expert in this country untainted by politics, money or greed.

Interest wording in some of those questions.

The underlying assumption seems to be that the fall in house prices is the thing that should be/have been controlled rather than the increase in the first place.

This may be an insight into the direction a Celtic Cub approaches the issue from even while doing their best to approach it from an academically neutral point of view

(sorry for being patronising, Joanna)

yeah…
so you should be
don’t mind him J
your little survey is lovely…

I found it interesting, but it did seem to talk about how the fall could have been stopped rather than how the rise could have.

I think the wording of the questions is a little ambiguous as well I’m afraid. Still, I’ve answered them as best I can. However you won’t find a representative cross section of views on this website I’m afraid.

I love not being an expert I can talk about anything I like in anyway I see fit

and it shows :unamused:

Thank you all! Comments are much appreciated. I am afraid the survey is out and cannot be changed at this stage. I did hope for honesty and your own opinions and I dont really see how they can be skewed by people using the property pin. I much rather get an answer from people who are interested in the matter than from those who are not and keep selecting N/A and I dont have an opinion boxes. So, again, thank you for your contribution - no matter the result

Poin taken about ambiguity, however we did ensure to provide as many Comment boxes as possible so I do hope people used them!

The survey was prepared to support the dissertation, therefore maybe some of you feel that there is something missing, but we hope it will come together for out project in the end.

Enjoy the weekend everyone !!

Joanna
