It is interesting to look at the housing market in the advanced economies and to look at the population trends over the same time.
It appears that far from emigration (in Ireland’s case) being a safety valve, it may depress the property market even more. You don’t have to be a genius to figure this out, but our glorious leaders still haven’t sussed it.
