This is the lowest rate since May 2008 when it was 204,900.

Challenge accepted!

We have info on the 3 data sets: Live Register, Activation programmes, and QNHS/Labour Force Survey from Jan 2007 to Sep 2018.

Here, the worse month was Nov 2011 and Dec 2012, both with 23.56% as broad jobless rate.

As we have no data for 2006 Activation programmes, if you take the average on those schemes in 2007 and apply them to 2016, the average broad jobless rate in 2016 was 9.1 to 9.6%

Interesting, thanks. I don’t think there were many such activation schemes on the go then, I remember a few local FAS community employment schemes actually had to fold because they couldn’t get candidates.
