Year Zero

The Khmer Rouge were quite something.

Clearly methods differ but interesting nonetheless to note similarities between their agenda and that of much of what passes for ‘progress’ over the recent past in western societies. Everything from large elements of the green agenda, the erosion of various forms of civil and political rights, the erasure of culture as well as all bonds of voluntary association between people that was not filtered via branches of the State, to include a particular fixation on erasing the family unit. Its all there.

They also came up with the notion of ‘Year Zero’ whereby, history was to be quite literally erased and a new world ushered in as of a particular point in time.

It doesnt really seem as far fetched or as alien as it used to, does it?
