The number of young people under 25 years of age who are signing on has rapidly increased to 55,000, according to new figures.
Over the last 12 months, there has been a 54pc increase in the number of young people on the Live Register, FAS Director General Rody Molloy said yesterday.
“The number of young people under 25 signing on has increased more rapidly than the general increase in the Live Register. There are now 55,000 under 25s signing on, an increase of 54pc in the last 12 months,” he said.
