Apologies if this has been posted already.

A couple of weeks ago Julien Mercille (UCD lecturer / media columnist) took on Eamon Delaney and Dan O'Brien on Newstalk on the topic of the media's role in inflating the property bubble: http://www.broadsheet.ie/2016/01/30/rule-number-1-no-touching-of-the-hair-or-face/

Kevin Cardiff on Ray Darcy show now plugging his new book in which he claims it's the first account of the banking crash in Ireland from an 'insider'.
He comes across as a hero who did his best for Ireland!

Not unlike this genius, who took the precaution of crashing his ship near an island, saving the lives of many of his passengers.

Coming up on Newstalk (Pat Kenny). Why do we have so many people dependent on the State for everything?

Should be interesting!

On Marian Finucane now, discussing the SBP story about 200 'families' in Dublin about to get evicted in 1 part of Dublin as the Vulture fund moves in on buy to lets.
Stephen Donnelly is on saying it's Goldman Sachs that are the main players in the fund...perhaps Sutherland's colleagues are clearing the houses for Syrians to be rehoused!!!!

Anyways, none of the panel want anyone to lose their home, even Landlords by the sound of it. Donnelly wants mortgages written down for families, and not for Vulture funds

Stephen on about lads who made one mistake as in they bought at the wrong time following hype by media Government. Also about his generation all being in negative equity (Including himself I think he said) and wont be able to contribute to the economy etc.
If Stephen couldnt have seen the Crash coming I'd be worried

It's some place we live in where 'social democrats' apologise for the misfortunate greedy who now seek our redemption. Every weekend morning at 11 to 1 folks.

In a statement, Twinlite said it acts as an asset manager to a number of properties owned by EPF plc. "EPF plc decided in late 2014 to exit the residential rental business, and Twinlite, acting as asset manager, put a plan in place to achieve this exit."

"This involves achieving vacant possession on a number of residential properties, prior to selling them, in order to generate the maximum value. [/quote]

David Hall was on the radio this AM making the exact same point. They'll all want to be getting out soon with prices/rents high and before the supply side is eventually fixed.
That 'Tsunami' he's been shouting about for years...well he reckons it's definitely coming now!

Imagine the hassle involved in selling 200 houses in a short period of time if you can't find an institutional investor to buy them in one go.
I think some Irish pension funds are going to be buying some fairly shitty bricks and mortar investments in the next few months.
