Paul makes the front page!
Man hospitalised after 'up to 10 heavies' forcibly evict tenants from Dublin apartment
It is understood the tenant taken to hospital suffered bruising to his ribs after he was dragged out of the apartment.
Pictures below show the damage done to the door after the men forced their way in at around 10am this morning.
The High Court issued an injunction before Christmas blocking the landlord, Mr Paul Howard, from evicting the tenants until the termination of the dispute resolution proceedings with the RTB.

How have the Gardai not moved in? This is gone beyond a civil matter at this stage.
This is 2 fingers to the Judge who put a stay on the evictions so I expect the Courts to fight back on this

Sinn Fein, despite their strong presence in this constituency and eagerness to jump into anything involving housing either via social media messages or assembling rent-a-crowds, are conspicuous by their absence here. With Mr Howard's Northern connections, history of receiving large personal loans from Derry residents and his willingness and ability to use force to get what he wants and disregard for any potential consequences, one does wonder if he's a pension fund administrator.

Who finances Paul Howard?

The Quinlans are a prominent Waterford Fine Gael family. At least three generations of Raymond’s family have been involved in local FG politics, with several of his relatives serving as local Councillors. His uncle Hilary Quinlan was a FG local councillor and Mayor of Waterford in the 1990s and 2000s. Hilary was on the board of Irish Water until he resigned in 2014. He was appointed to this position in November 2013 by Phil Hogan, then Minister for the Environment, and Pat Rabbitte, then Minister for Communications. When Hilary resigned he was hired as a driver by Fine Gael TD Paudie Coffey (who at the time was a junior minister for Environment, Community and Local Government – he’s now a Senator).

A few of Raymond’s uncles (Hilary included) have been involved in property development and investment companies around Waterford City and county. In the early 1990s they owned Funderland.

Why would a businessman with prominent Fine Gael connections be securing Paul Howards properties?

You chose your name wisely.

Looks like they had the IrishTimes on speed dial https://www.irishtimes.com/news/social- ... -1.3371707
The upper left of the door was smashed through when The Irish Times arrived shortly before 11am. The occupants were standing in the corridor with two gardaí from Fitzgibbon Street Garda station. One young man was dressed only in a T-shirt and boxer shorts.
Mr Howard and a number of others could be heard inside the apartment. An electric screwdriver could be heard, and screws seen coming though the door from the inside, apparently to prevent the door being opened.

So it seems the Mountjoy Sq incident was just Mr.Howard collecting the rent early ...ahead of the receiver of his properties

Quote:
In correspondence with Mr Fennell, Mr Howard used “pseudo legal language” to dispute the validity of the receivership, counsel said.

The “genesis” of the injunction application was reports in the media last weekend that tenants were forcibly removed from one of the apartments in Mountjoy Square by Mr Howard and others, with one tenant needing hospital treatment.

This was being investigated by the receiver and was of concern and an inspection revealed the property was significantly damaged, counsel said.

Counsel said there were other incidents of concern and Mr Fennell had discovered Mr Howard had “stolen a march” on the receiver and had sought and obtained early payment of rent from some of the tenants at the properties.

That money should have been paid to the receiver to reduce the defendants’ indebtedness to the fund, counsel said.

There had also been an attempt by Mr Howard and another person to remove a representative of the receiver from one of the properties, he said. Gardaí were called but, after they left, the locks on the premises were changed by Mr Howard, he added.

The receiver's found a shed
Counsel added that the Receiver's representative found a mother and her daughter living in a one-room shed beside one of Howard’s properties.
